Cropping Survey of Rice Crops
April 10, 2025 | BPS Activities
Sedulur Data,
On March 5, 2025, the Production Statistics Team of BPS Cirebon Regency, led by a Junior Expert Statistician, Joko Mulyanto, conducted a Cropping Survey together with the Cirebon Regency Agriculture Office. This Cropping Survey activity was carried out in the KSA Segment of Kedungdawa Village, Kedawung Subdistrict. The officer in charge of the Cropping Survey was Daryono from Kedawung Subdistrict.
As we know, the Cropping Survey is a routine survey of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to determine the productivity of food crops. This survey is conducted by measuring sample points in rice fields or moorlands at harvest time. Randomly selected rice field points are cleared to an area of 2.5 meters x 2.5 meters and the harvest is weighed. Using statistical methods, the measurement of yields can reflect the productivity of agricultural land in the area.
(BPP Kedawung Coordinator) and Evi Febriyani (Non ASN Agricultural Extension Officer).
With this joint Cropping Survey, it is hoped that BPS and the Ministry of Agriculture can produce accurate agricultural land productivity data so that the government can make the right policies in the agricultural sector.
