On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the IPDS Team of BPS Cirebon Regency as the sectoral statistics supervisor visited the office of the Cirebon Regency Agriculture Service.
This visit was in the context of consultation and development of metadata for surveys / data collection organized by the Cirebon Regency Agriculture Service.
As is known, according to Government Regulation No. 18 of 2016 concerning Regional Apparatus, it is necessary to fulfill Statistical Recommendations for all statistical activities / sectoral statistical data collection in the region.
To obtain BPS recommendations, surveys / sectoral statistical data collection produced by data producers must meet the elements or rules of SSN (National Statistics System) and SDI (One Indonesian Data). One of them is that every survey / data collection needs to be documented in the form of metadata.
In addition to being survey documentation, there are several benefits of metadata. Among them are the following:
1. Avoiding duplication
2. Facilitating the search, utilization,
and evaluation of data and information, and
3. Facilitating data management
as an organizational investment.
Currently, sectoral statistical data metadata is collected and compiled by the Cirebon Regency DISKOMINFO as a data custodian.
