Sectoral Statistics Development on the Topic of Data Quality

Currently BPS Cirebon Regency is carrying out Sectoral Statistics Development for data producers in the region. This is in accordance with the instructions from the leadership of BPS RI as a form of implementation of Statistics Law no. 16 of 1997 and Presidential Decree 39 of 2019 concerning One Indonesian Data.
However, as a data developer, BPS is obliged and responsible for providing quality sectoral statistical data at the regional level.
Data producers (Departments/Agencies/OPD/SKPD) are expected not to just provide data as usual or simply shirk responsibility. Furthermore, BPS hopes that data producers like the data they produce so that they can maintain data quality.
Regarding data quality, today Tuesday, February 20 2024, the Cirebon Regency BPS Sectoral Statistics Advisory Team, chaired by Intermediate Statistician, Yanti Heryanti, together with the Cirebon Regency BPS IPDS Team provided training to data producers regarding data quality issues.
Like a product, before the production results reach the hands of consumers, a company must carry out a quality control process. This step is taken to ensure that the products that consumers will use later meet the specified quality standards. Likewise with sectoral statistical data, BPS must ensure that quality control stages have been carried out both on sectoral data or sectoral statistical information produced by data producers in Cirebon Regency. This activity is managed within the quality assurance framework of sectoral statistical data (Quality Assurance Framework-QAF) by BPS.
Hopefully with this training, SKPD/OPD/Dinas/Institutions that produce data understand the importance of data quality so that they produce quality data that can be used as a reference in policy making in Cirebon Regency.
