Training for SAKERNAS data surveyor February 2024

Apart from SUSENAS, there is a survey which is also very important and the data is always eagerly awaited by many parties. Just like SUSENAS, this survey is also conducted 2 (two) times a year. Does anyone know about this survey?
Yes, this survey is SAKERNAS or National Labor Force Survey. This survey is very strategic because it provides various indicators regarding the workforce and business sector. Through the SAKERNAS survey, data was obtained on the characteristics of jobs and business fields, such as income, production patterns (income, turnover and costs), number of hours worked, and activities of various jobs/business fields.
SAKERNAS was implemented for the first time in 1976, in 1986 it began to be routinely implemented by BPS until now. The employment context used by BPS is based on The Labor Force Concept suggested by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
This concept divides the population into two groups, namely the working age population (people aged 15 years and over) and the non-working age population. Furthermore, the working age population is divided into two groups based on the main activities they are carrying out, these groups are the working force and the non-working force.
The labor force is the population of working age 15 years and over who are economically active, such as the working population, or who have a job, but are temporarily unemployed and unemployed. Not in the labor force are people aged 15 years and over who are still studying, taking care of the household or carrying out other activities. The concept of labor force and non-labor force is very important for determining or measuring the level of unemployment in a region.
Monday, January 22 2024, BPS Cirebon Regency held training for prospective SAKERNAS officers for February 2024. Training activities were carried out in a hybrid manner (online and offline) with a total of 10 training participants (7 PCL and 3 PML). Serving as training instructors are the Head of the Cirebon Regency BPS Social Team, Anna Fa'atin and the Cirebon Regency BPS Young Expert Statistics, Yahya Ubaid. The training activity was opened directly by the Head of BPS Cirebon Regency, Judiharto Trisnadi.
In his direction, the Head of BPS Cirebon Regency hopes that all SAKERNAS officers will be able to properly dig up information about work in sample households, because currently there are many business fields that are invisible to the naked eye, such as online buying and selling, programmers and web developers. He also hopes that SAKERNAS officers can take a good picture of the state of the workforce after the Covid pandemic which devastated various business sectors. Finally, the Head of BPS Cirebon Regency hopes that with this training officers can understand the concept of definitions applied to the SAKERNAS survey in order to obtain quality SAKERNAS data.
