Abstract

The number of poor people (people with per capita expenditure per month below the poverty line) in Cirebon District in 2023 reached 249.18 thousand people (11.20 percent), a decrease of 16.92 thousand people compared to the previous year's poor population of 266.1 thousand people (12.01 percent).

The poverty line in Cirebon District in 2023 amounted to Rp 451,853 per capita per month while in 2022 it amounted to Rp 416,914. The period from 2022 to 2023 saw an increase in the poverty line of Rp 34,939 per capita per month or an increase of 8.38 percent.
The Poverty Depth Index (P1) in Cirebon Regency decreased from 2.27 in 2022 to 1.98 in 2023. This indicates that the spending distance between the poor and the poverty line is getting closer.
The Poverty Severity Index (P2) in Cirebon Regency decreased from 0.59 in 2022 to 0.53 in 2023. This indicates that the expenditure gap between the poor and the poverty line is getting smaller.
