On Monday, November 24, 2025, the Cirebon Regency Statistics Agency (BPS), through the Sectoral Statistics Development Team (PSS), held a Sectoral Statistics Development event. The event took place in the BPS Cirebon Regency Hall and was opened by the Head of BPS Cirebon Regency, Januarto Wibowo.
Representatives from seven agencies/departments/SKPDs within the Cirebon Regency Regional Government were present. These agencies were the Cirebon Regency Communications and Information Office (Diskominfo), the Cirebon Regency Research and Development Agency (Bappelitbangda), the Cirebon Regency Regional Secretariat, the Cirebon Regency Agriculture Office, the Cirebon Regency Health Office, the Cirebon Regency DPPKBP3A Office, and the Cirebon Regency Food Security and Fisheries Office.
As is known, SKPDs/Departments/Agencies within the Regional Government are data producers in their respective fields and sectors. The data they collect as part of their duties requires attention and recommendations from the Statistics Indonesia (BPS), as the data administrator, to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data collected by these agencies/agencies.
With Presidential Regulation 39 of 2019 concerning One Data Indonesia, the Cirebon Regency BPS does not work alone in developing sectoral statistics in the region. This regulation establishes the role of data guardian, assumed by the Cirebon Regency Communication and Information Agency (Diskominfo). This guardian is responsible for collecting, validating, and disseminating data.
Currently, data from all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs), Regional Government Agencies (SKPDs), and Agencies can be accessed by data users through a single portal, namely the open data portal provided by the Cirebon Regency BPS.
The Head of the Cirebon Regency BPS, Januarto Wibowo, expressed his hope that the existing good collaboration between the Cirebon Regency DISKOMINFO as the data guardian, the Cirebon Regency Bappelitbangda (Regional Development Planning Agency), and the Cirebon Regency Bappelitbangda (Regional Development Planning Agency). Cirebon as the head of the SDI secretariat, and BPS Cirebon Regency as the data supervisor can continue to be maintained to create a good sectoral data ecosystem in Cirebon Regency.
