Geospatial Framework Update for the 2026 Statistical Work Area Content (WILKERSTAT)

Currently, the Cirebon Regency Statistics Agency (BPS) is carrying out the Geospatial Framework Update for the 2026 Statistical Work Area Content (WILKERSTAT), commonly abbreviated as WILKERSTAT Mapping.

The main objective of the 2025 BPS Statistical Work Area (WILKERSTAT) mapping is to update and ensure the accuracy of the boundaries and coverage of statistical work areas at the smallest level, namely the Local Environmental Unit (SLS), in preparation for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026).

This mapping also aims to achieve uniform and up-to-date Wilkerstat content and to estimate the workload and staff requirements for the SE2026 implementation.

The following are the objectives of the 2025 Wilkerstat mapping:

1. Updating and ensuring the accuracy of statistical work area boundaries:

This mapping aims to revise and ensure the accuracy of statistical work area boundaries in each SLS.

2. Determining uniform and up-to-date Wilkerstat content:

This mapping will produce uniform and up-to-date information regarding Wilkerstat content.

3. Estimating workload and staff requirements:

With this mapping, BPS can estimate the workload and number of staff required for the 2026 Economic Census.

4. As a basis for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census:

The mapping of the 2026 Regional Work Areas (Wilkerstat) is an important initial stage in the series of activities for the 2026 Economic Census.

In other words, the mapping of the 2025 Regional Work Areas (Wilkerstat) is a crucial step in ensuring the smooth and successful implementation of the 2026 Economic Census.
