Briefing of Annual VIMK Survey 2024

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Cirebon Regency held the 2024 Annual Micro and Small Industry Survey Briefing (VIMK). This activity was held for two days, namely on 1-2 August 2024. The Head of BPS Cirebon Regency, @joediharto Trisnadi, had the opportunity to open it at the same time. provide direction for this briefing activity.

In his direction, the Head of BPS Cirebon Regency stated the aim of this briefing activity, namely to ensure that the survey implementation runs smoothly and produces relevant, accurate, coherent, valid and high-quality IMK data. He also reminded that all officers must be committed to carrying out the entire series of survey activities well. He emphasized the importance of officers understanding concepts and definitions so that data collection in the field runs smoothly and is always guided by SOPs.

As we know, IMK plays an important role in its contribution to Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). According to the distribution of Indonesia's GDP based on business fields for the first quarter of 2024, added value from the processing industry is still the largest in the Indonesian economy. Apart from that, IMK also plays a significant role in job creation and economic resilience. History proves that IMK is able to withstand the shock of the economic crisis.

The main objective of the VIMK survey itself is to obtain data on micro and small scale business activities or companies in accordance with the first two digits of the standard classification of business fields (KBLI) at the national and provincial levels.
