Monday, October 9, 2023, BPS Cirebon Regency held a Monday Morning Apple. For this morning's apple, the officers were the Regional Balance and Statistical Analysis Team. The Head of the NERWILIS Team, Widjayanti, was asked to be the Apple Supervisor.
In his speech, the NERWILIS Team Leader read out the mandate of the Director of FINANCIAL STATISTICS, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND PARIWISATA of BPS RI.
Some of the important points conveyed were as follows:
1. The vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 is to realize Indonesia as a Sovereign, Advanced, and Sustainable Archipelago. This vision is derived into 5 vision goals, 8 development agendas, 17 development directions, 45 development indicators, and 4 development stages.
2. Realizing the Vision of Indonesia Emas 2045, BPS established BPS Vision 2045, namely Quality Statistics to realize a Sovereign, Advanced, and Sustainable Archipelago. This vision is certainly supported by concrete steps. One of the concrete steps in supporting the BPS 2045 vision is the provision of tourism data which is part of economic transformation.
3. A new source of tourism data developed by BPS today is Mobile Positioning Data (MPD), digital footprint information left by mobile phone users. The utilization of MPD has been initiated by BPS since 2016, to obtain data on the movement of foreign tourists in border areas where there are no immigration checkpoints. Until now, MPD has also been developed for the calculation of tourist movements.
