Food Crop Statistics Coordination Meeting

November 21, 2025 | BPS Activities

The Cirebon Regency Statistics Agency (BPS), through its Production Statistics Team, held a Food Crop Statistics Coordination Meeting on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The meeting was attended by the Director of Livestock, Fisheries, and Forestry Statistics (SP2K) of BPS-RI, Adhi Wiriana, and the Secretary of the Cirebon Regency Agriculture Office, Nanang Ruhyana. The Food Crop Coordination Meeting was opened by the Head of BPS-RI, Januarto Wibowo, who was accompanied by the Head of the Production Statistics Team, Joko Mulyanto.
On this occasion, the Secretary of the Agriculture Office, Nanang Ruhyana, emphasized the importance of BPS's role in providing agricultural data, particularly food crop data in Cirebon Regency. He expressed his hope that the Cirebon Regency Agriculture Office and BPS-RI can continue to enhance collaboration and cooperation in providing agricultural data.
He stated that the data held by BPS-RI is very helpful in comparing data held by the Agriculture Office, such as land area, planted area, harvested area, and land productivity. This allows the Regional Government, specifically the Department of Agriculture, to adopt appropriate and accurate policies related to agricultural sector development.
Meanwhile, the Director of SP2K (Research and Development of Agricultural Products and Services) at the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS RI), Adhi Wiriana, emphasized the importance of the contribution and collaboration of all agricultural stakeholders in increasing agricultural productivity. He stated that BPS currently contributes by providing agricultural data, particularly on food crops, through various agricultural surveys.
These include the Area Sample Framework (KSA) Survey, which periodically observes agricultural land from planting to harvest, and the Ubinan Survey (measuring agricultural land productivity) at harvest time.
The Director of SP2K at BPS RI also explained the post-harvest survey conducted by BPS, namely the SKGB (Grain to Rice Conversion Survey). This survey aims to measure the weight loss of rice during the production stage from grain to rice. He hopes that the results of all BPS agricultural surveys can be used as a reference for the government in formulating agricultural sector policies.
