The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) conducted a survey related to the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. The MBG Program Monitoring and Evaluation Survey conducted by BPS includes two types of surveys: a Special Survey and a Baseline Survey. The Special Survey was conducted from June 15 to 29, 2025, while the Baseline Survey is planned to begin in July 2025.
This survey is crucial to ensure that the MBG program truly has a positive impact on the community, particularly in health, education, and the economy.
The Special Survey aims to measure the direct impact of the MBG program on various indicators such as employment, supply chains, raw material availability, community welfare, food security, and public perception of the program's benefits in health and education.
Meanwhile, the Baseline Survey focuses on collecting data from panel households, both before and after receiving MBG program assistance, to comprehensively assess changes over time. The baseline survey covers food security, student enthusiasm for learning, student hunger levels, student attendance, reduced family burdens, consumption patterns, and poverty levels.
The MBG program itself is one of the government's efforts to improve the nutritional status of the community and support children's educational development by providing free nutritious food in various regions, including Cirebon Regency.
By conducting a systematic and data-driven survey, BPS hopes that the results of this evaluation will provide a crucial foundation for future improvements and strengthening of the MBG program.
