Pancasila Birth Commemoration Day

June 1, 2025 | Other Activities

Sedulur Data,

The birthday of Pancasila is an important commemoration and has become one of the national holidays. The establishment of Pancasila Birth Day every June 1 is based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia (Keppres RI) Number 24 of 2016 concerning the Birth Day of Pancasila.

The origin of Pancasila from the day of its birth, began when Sukarno introduced five foundations for the Indonesian state. Bung Karno's idea was delivered in his ‘Birth of Pancasila’ speech at the session of the Indonesian Independence Preparation Investigation Board (BPUPKI) on June 1, 1945.
