Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) 2024

Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) 2024

June 1, 2024 | BPS Activities

The agricultural sector is a sector that can contribute to the national economy. The phenomenon of still open employment in the agricultural sector, high foreign exchange contributions resulting from the rapid development of the agribusiness sector as well as producing raw materials for downstream industries that process agricultural products, shows that the agricultural sector can survive the economic crisis. Starting from these conditions, it is very necessary to provide accurate and up-to-date agricultural sector data that can be used as a reference for the government and stakeholders in planning and formulating policies both for internal interests and for national development.
ST2023 was carried out to accommodate variables for the completeness of agricultural data which is developing very dynamically, to answer data needs at both national and international levels, and is designed to obtain international standard results by referring to the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) program known as the World Program for the Cencus of Agriculture (WCA). To achieve international comparability, the Agricultural Census was conducted as close to 2020 as possible.
One of the activities included in ST2023 is the Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) which was carried out in 2024. SEP 2024 was carried out to obtain information about the economic aspects of agricultural business units such as information on agricultural business unit income, expenses, prices, and so on. The implementation of the 2024 SEP consists of a series of stages of planning, preparation, data collection, data processing, data presentation and analysis. Through SEP 2024, it is hoped that the agricultural economic conditions in Indonesia will be known.
Hopefully the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) in Cirebon Regency can run smoothly so as to produce accurate and up-to-date data on the economic conditions of farmers.
