VHTS Survey Briefing

One of the Cirebon Regency BPS surveys in the field of distribution statistics is the VHTS Survey. This survey is carried out regularly every month to determine the level of hotel occupancy in the Cirebon Regency area. Apart from knowing the Occupancy Rate or occupancy rate, this survey also provides information regarding foreign tourists who stay at least one night in the Cirebon Regency area.
Currently, there is a transformation or shift in data collection methods from Paper Based Survey (paper-based survey) or what is known as PAPI (Paper and Pencil Interview) to CAPI (computer assisted personal interview). All information recorded in each BPS data collection no longer uses paper but instead the data is directly entered into the gadgets/smartphones of the data collectors in the field.
Regarding the VHTS Survey, data collection using CAPI has only been implemented at this time. The Cirebon Regency BPS Distribution Statistics Team held a briefing for the 2024 VHTS Survey data collectors regarding the use of the CAPI method. The briefing was held today, Thursday, February 29 2024 and took place in the Cirebon Regency BPS hall.
Head of the Distribution Statistics Team, Supriyanto, gave directions and opened the briefing activity. Meanwhile, functional statistics officials, Eka Nuraini and Abdul Qodir were tasked with providing training materials.
Hopefully, with the CAPI data collection method, the VHTS Survey data collection can run smoothly and produce quality and timely hotel occupancy data.
