Survey of SKTNP 2024

Survey of SKTNP 2024

January 15, 2024 | BPS Activities

One indicator of successful development is economic growth which continues to increase. To measure economic growth, the Central Statistics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia still uses National Income Statistics. National Income Statistics is known as Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the nation or Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) for provinces/districts/cities. GDP/GRDP is prepared in quarterly and/or annual periods. The use of GDP/GRDP for short-term analysis is still used. Even several technical agencies use this data to see the success of the coaching they have carried out.
In 2024, BPS will carry out a Special Quarterly Survey of Production Balance (SKTNP) on Goods and Services, which is a continuation of the Quarterly Survey on Production Balance (SKTNP) on Goods and Services from the previous year, considering that the need for quarterly data is urgent and very necessary. The preparation of Gross Domestic Product for quarterly periods has been carried out for a long time, but many quarterly production data, especially for Goods and Services business fields, are not yet available, either by BPS or other agencies.
This survey aims to obtain the latest and fastest information regarding production indicators, price indicators and other indicators that will be used in preparing the Quarterly GRDP for service businesses.
The 2024 SKTNP Goods and Services Survey in West Java Province was conducted on companies/businesses in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Category; Mining and excavation ; Processing Industry; Procurement of Electricity and Gas; Water supply, waste management, waste and recycling; Construction; Wholesale and Retail Trade, Car and Motorbike Repair and Maintenance; Transportation and Warehousing; Information and Telecommunications; financial services; Real Estate ; Company services; Government Administration; Categories: Providing Accommodation and Providing Food and Drink; Categories of Rental and Leasing Activities Without Option Rights, Employment, Travel Agents and Other Business Support; Education Category; Human Health Activities and Social Activities Category; and the Arts, Entertainment and Recreation Category. Meanwhile, for the sample in Cirebon Regency, only UMB companies are engaged in the Education, Accommodation and provision of food and drink sectors, Other Services (sample of private travel and recreation services), Corporate Services, Electricity and Gas Procurement, as well as Water Procurement, Waste Management, Categories. waste and recycling.
Observation of business developments through SKTNP Goods and Services in January 2024 itself is to collect data for Quarter 3 and Quarter 4 of 2023.
On Monday, January 15 2024, the BPS Cirebon Regency Regional Accounts and Statistical Analysis (NERWILIS) Team, commanded by the Head of the NERWILIS Team, Cirebon Regency BPS Junior Statistician, Widjayanti, held a Special Survey Officer Training for the 2024 Quarterly Production Balance (SKTNP). directly by the Head of BPS Cirebon Regency, Judiharto Trisnadi and attended by 11 officers (Mitra and Organik). The NERWILIS Team Leader, Widjayanti, himself served as the training instructor.
In his direction, the Head of BPS Cirebon Regency said that this survey is very important because it aims to obtain production indicators for goods and services which are useful in preparing quarterly GRDP/GDP. He hopes that with this training officers will be able to understand the survey methodology and definition concepts well so that they can get the best SKTNP survey enumeration results for goods and services.
